Founded in 2016 by Chris Dare, Wichita Construction Group was built on a vision to establish a family-owned firm rooted in professional integrity. Drawing on years of experience as a project superintendent for major general contractors, Chris identified a vital need for a concrete subcontractor that prioritized the client’s timeline and safety as much as the build itself.
Meet the Owner
Chris Dare – Founder
Chris Dare grew up on a family farm in Eastern Kansas, where he developed strong values of hard work, honesty, and self-reliance. He channeled this work ethic early on by launching his own ventures, including hauling hay, custom harvesting, and eventually concrete work.
Chris earned a degree in Construction Management from Pittsburg State University. Following graduation, he worked for multiple general contractors and spent the next 14 years as a project superintendent. In this role, he successfully managed large-scale commercial, roadway, and industrial projects, with a specialization in large and complex structural concrete work.
Chris’s background emphasizes a hands-on, practical foundation in construction, combined with formal education and proven leadership on high-stakes projects.
